Kate Hoegeman

Kate Hoegeman is also studying at MSU for her last year of undergraduate study.  She worked on synthesizing a promising new donor thianthrene compound.  Enjoy your final year at MSU Kate!  Thank you for working so hard for us this summer!

Nicholas Quebbeman

Nicholas is a senior at MSU for the 2020/21 year.  His project involved oxygen/carbon dioxide catalyst on nitrogen doped graphene.  He was out of the lab on the day I actually took pictures, but believe me, he was a very important part of our group this summer.  Enjoy your last year at MSU Nick!

Abby Snay

Abby is a rising senior at Lee University.  Her project involved carbon dioxide catalysis with electropolymerized cobalt phthalocyanine.  Ask her about it sometime.  Thank you for spending the summer with us, I hope you enjoyed it as much as we enjoyed having you here!

Sunset on Summer 2020

Summer 2020 is in the books and it was UNUSUAL, but productive.  The summer of Covid-19 began with a few weeks of off-site research and literature study, and progressed into the lab with much PPE and personal precaution.  The feedback from our students was generally good though.  They were grateful to be in the lab and there was research progress made toward their projects.  To all of our interns this summer, thank you for spending your summer with us and thank you for working so hard toward your (and our) goals.  We want you to stay safe as you return to your studies.  Be smart and always keep in touch.  Stay tuned for highlights of each project.

Please note:  Masks were removed for picture, and all researchers stayed Covid negative.  What a great group!
